New Delhi– Hosting a house party is one of the best ways to socialize and spend some quality time with friends and family. Instead of having a crowded bar or paying big bucks to reserve a party space, consider a house party. But first you have to design your home and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Ashima Singla, Founder and CEO of Whispering Homes shares key points to put on the checklist for hosting a house party:

Decorate the entrance

The door is one of the most important places to decorate. The exterior and the entrance of your apartment need accessories. Bead curtains, colorful plants, wall hangings and other decorative items can be added. The exteriors of the door can be embellished with attractive plants and LED lights to give it an elegant appearance. If you are having a themed party, you can customize the decor according to the theme. You can also put up signs in the entrance informing people about the subject. Decorations like balloons and colored ribbons can also be used.

Tables and dining areas

To create the perfect ambience, the furniture in your bedroom can be decorated according to the theme. Kitchenware and tableware can be selected and arranged according to the occasion. Colorful umbrellas, straws, glasses and napkins can be placed at the table to add style to the house party. A container of fruits and vegetables, as well as a brightly colored floral centerpiece, can be displayed on the dinner table. You can put pictures or a montage of the special guest on the dining table if you have a celebration for your child’s birthday or to honor someone.

The dance area

You can have a space to dance, even if you are having a house party. There is no need to build a stage for the dance floor; instead, make room for visitors to dance. Install colored lights, as well as some fairy lights and other small lamps, to make the place more suitable.

The colors should be splashed everywhere

It is important to make the interior as lively as possible for an engaging and bright effect. Mix as many colors as you can and use them uniquely in your home. Also include a range of items such as balloons, photographs and lights.

Use soft lighting and candles to create an intimate atmosphere

If you’re hosting a late-night party or your guests want a more private atmosphere, use dim lighting. You can use a lamp (of all shapes, colors and sizes) and scatter them around the room. Also use good lighting and use it artistically so that the light is thrown in all directions of the house. (IANS)
