Sky reporter shares worrying news about Bukayo Saka from England camp: Gunners fans will be upset

Due to illness, Arsenal star Bukayo Saka did not train with the England squad on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, the Arsenal striker arrived at St George’s Park with the rest of the Three Lions squad.

According to Sky Sports, Saka tested negative for covid upon arrival, according to Rob Dorsett.

However, due to illness, the Arsenal star stayed in his hotel room on Wednesday.

Dorsett said FA doctors would monitor the player.

He also suggested he would take another test within the next 24 hours, with doctors apparently hoping it wasn’t covid.

“The title, I can tell you exclusively”, noted Dorset.

“Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka did not train with England this morning due to illness and remained in his hotel room.

“Importantly, I was told he tested negative for covid when he arrived at St George’s Park with the rest of the squad yesterday.

“So of course the FA medics will keep an eye on him, watch him. But they hope it won’t be covid.

“He would be expected to be tested again over the next 24 hours or so in hopes he can recover and still play a part in England’s friendly against Switzerland on Saturday. .”

A worrying update for Arsenal fans, who are hoping Saka won’t have covid and can recover quickly.

The 20-year-old is one of Mikel Arteta’s first names on the team sheet.

Arsenal need him to stay fit in the coming weeks, especially with so much at stake.
